McLaren Racing, Sanofi Announce Partnership To Accelerate Excellence

Formula One (F1) team, McLaren Racing, have announced a multi-year partnership with global healthcare company, Sanofi.

The deal will see McLaren collaborate with Sanofi’s industrial affairs team to achieve excellence in manufacturing operations, which will enable the healthcare company to meet patients’ needs around the world through their global network.

The F1 team will take a data-driven approach by using its accelerator programme that focuses on F1 ingenuity on industrial challenges.

Additionally, McLaren will provide digital and analytical expertise to help Sanofi focus on major problems impacting performance, and how to anticipate and resolve them.

Commenting on the partnership, McLaren Racing CEO, Zak Brown, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Sanofi.”

“It is an important opportunity for two global brands who share values to work together to maximise performance through our bespoke Accelerator programme.

“We look forward to continuing to collaborate with Sanofi to make a positive impact not only in manufacturing but to help Sanofi improve patients’ lives,” he said.

Sanofi chief executive officer, Paul Hudson, added: “I see a lot of commonalities in our shared values to stretch, with courage and determination, so we can maximize performance and operational excellence.”

“We want to run our lines with the speed, precision and efficiency of an F1 racing team,” he said.

The announcement comes after Christian Horner argued that the new budget cap could “wreak havoc” on F1, as freight fees and delays escalate amidst an already “saturated” F1 calendar.
