The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and the Manly Warringah Cricket Club have announced an alliance aimed at strengthening their community ties and generating added value for members, fans, and commercial partners across the Northern Beaches region.
This cross-sport collaboration positions the two iconic clubs to strategically pool resources and audiences in the local market.
The partnership is founded on a shared commitment to the local community, with joint initiatives set to span both commercial and operational domains.
Emphasising the alliance’s role in expanding the club’s local reach by leveraging the cricket club’s existing grassroots network, Sea Eagles CEO, Tony Mestrov, said: “By joining forces with Manly Cricket, we can connect our grassroots audiences, local businesses, and supporters in a way that broadens the Sea Eagles’ footprint and delivers greater value for our community.”
Confirming the benefit of the shared purpose and values, Manly Warringah Cricket club president, Andrew Fraser, added: “When two clubs with shared values and a community focus come together, the benefits extend far beyond the field.”
“This partnership allows us to collaborate on projects that will have genuine impact for our members, our partners, and our wider community,” Fraser stated.
The alliance outlines a multi-faceted approach to collaboration, including highly visible joint ventures such as an annual charity cricket match and a series of corporate networking events designed to generate leads and opportunities for shared sponsors.
Furthermore, both clubs will offer reciprocal promotional offers to their respective membership bases, intending to increase cross-sport attendance and fan engagement.
Beyond commercial activations, the agreement includes a focus on operational best practice. The organisations will explore the possibility of trading ideas around coaching, management, and administrative strategies, aiming for long-term capability uplift across both sports.
The strategic alliance comes into effect immediately, enhancing both clubs’ position ahead of the summer sporting calendar.
