LIV Golf has made a notable addition to its team, appointing Lara Toscani Weems as the new senior vice president of media relations.
Weems brings with her extensive experience in sports communications, having served as the senior vice president of Global Communications for Elevate over the past three years.
In her new role, Toscani Weems will report directly to Ilana Finley, LIV’s chief communications officer, who joined the organization in September following a lengthy career at Nike.
She also held a significant position as the vice president of Corporate Communications at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE).
This appointment reunites Weems with Scott O’Neil, her previous supervisor at HBSE, who was named CEO of LIV earlier this year.
The role of SVP of media relations is newly established within LIV Golf, indicating the organisation’s commitment to enhancing its communications strategies.
Toscani Weems will operate from New York, further solidifying LIV’s media presence in a prominent location, as the development arises amid the ongoing evolution and expansion of LIV Golf within the competitive landscape of professional sports.
