LIV Golf has announced Scott O’Neil as its new Chief Executive Officer, signalling a new era for the global golf league. O’Neil will oversee the league’s strategic vision, operations, and international expansion, as well as its innovative team-based competition. The appointment comes as Greg Norman, LIV Golf’s first CEO and Commissioner, steps back from day-to-day management but remains involved in an advisory capacity.
O’Neil brings over 25 years of experience managing and growing major sports and entertainment brands. Most recently, he served as CEO of Merlin Entertainments, leading global operations across 140+ attractions in 23 countries. His previous tenure as CEO of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment saw him drive $2 billion in enterprise growth while overseeing properties like the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and NHL’s New Jersey Devils.
