Lightning Sign TechnologyOne As Inaugural Coaching Partner
TechnologyOne, one of Australia’s largest publicly listed software company’s, has just signed a long-term deal to become the inaugural coaching partner of Sunshine Coast Lightning.
The netball club will utilise TechnologyOne’s products, which cover many industries, including Government, Education, Health & Community Services, and Financial Services.
The deal comes only 12 months after Brisbane City Council terminated TechnologyOne’s $122 million IT contract after cost blowouts and lengthy delays, but Lightning CEO, Danielle Smith, says she is excited to collaborate with TechnologyOne as the Club’s newest partner.
“TechnologyOne signing on as our inaugural Coaching Partner provides a great connection between the organisations, particularly from a leadership perspective,” Smith said.
“We are incredibly proud of our coaching team and the special relationship Noeline and Kylee have formed across three seasons – their coaching acumen and ability to get the most out of each player is complemented by their own individual strengths as leaders.
“This strategic partnership will enable Lightning’s coaching talent to engage with TechnologyOne across many leadership and community-based initiatives.”
Smith added that “attracting a high-calibre, Queensland based commercial partner like TechnologyOne further solidifies Lightning’s reputation as an elite high-performance organisation both on and off the court.”
As Coaching Partner, TechnologyOne will also receive brand exposure across coaching apparel, as well as in-stadium at home games.
TechnologyOne Chief Operating Officer, Stuart Macdonald, said the partnership with Sunshine Coast Lightning would benefit both parties and the wider Queensland community.
