The National Football League (NFL) has announced that pop powerhouse, the Jonas Brothers, will headline the landmark halftime show during the 2026 NFL Melbourne Game.
Staged at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday, September 11, the match between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will stream live globally on Netflix in partnership with the Victorian State Government and Visit Victoria.
From a commercial overview, the announcement reinforces the league’s international expansion strategy, leveraging premier entertainment assets to drive global digital viewership and local economic activity.
Emphasising the importance of the production scale, senior director of global game presentation and entertainment – NFL, Tim Tubito, said: “Bringing the first-ever regular season game to Australia is a landmark moment for the league, and we are committed to creating an entertainment experience that reflects the scale and significance of the occasion.”
“The Jonas Brothers are global entertainers whose music connects across generations, making them the ideal artists to help us celebrate this historic game in Melbourne.

Highlighting the cultural impact of securing elite global talent, NFL general manager for Australia and New Zealand, Charlotte Offord, added: “The Jonas Brothers are global superstars with an incredible ability to bring people together through music, making them the perfect addition to Australia’s first-ever regular season NFL game.”
Reflecting on the upcoming economic drive of the event, Victorian Minister for Major Events, Hon. Anthony Carbines, noted: “Melbourne will showcase the very best Victoria has to offer to tens of millions of viewers around the world.”
