British free-to-air broadcaster, ITV, has announced a new three-year broadcast deal with the Spanish football league, LaLiga.

The deal will see ITV broadcast 10 matches every season starting in 2022/23, which run until the 2024/25 season.

Matches will also be broadcast on all channels, including ITV, ITV4 and their digital platform, ITV Hub.

Commenting on the deal, ITV director of sport, Niall Sloane, said: “This deal ensures free-to-air coverage for all football fans of one of the most entertaining leagues in the world.”

“The deal with Premier Sports will give fans the chance to see some of the most iconic clubs and world-class players in action live on ITV,” Sloane said.

Premier Sports, who also hold broadcasting rights in the UK, have given ITV their first match on 21 August, which places FC Barcelona against Real Sociedad, and will also showcase the Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

Premier Sport has been working with Laliga since 2019 and renewed their broadcasting agreement in June 2022, which also runs for three seasons.

Tickets are now available for the fourth annual Women In Sport Summit, which will provide real stories, skills and career moves, from administrators to athletes, and will give a platform for honest conversations and exclusive networking opportunities, with game-changing discussions about the growth, value, and the future of women in sport.
