Interstate Creative Partners, a veteran brand agency with a 25-year heritage in motorsport, has announced an embedded founding partnership with RunGP.
This collaboration introduces a disruptive “networked” agency model to the sports world, moving away from traditional agency-of-record structures to deeply integrate Interstate’s creative and technical teams into the RunGP operational core.
Interstate’s portfolio includes building global properties for the FIA, Formula E, and over two decades of work in Formula 1.
Commenting on the partnership, interstate associate partner, Ken Goodbody, said: “RunGP is a revolution, and revolutions require bold new business models,”
“This model ensures brand strategy, intent, and creative technology are co-created from day one.” Goodbody said.
Noting that Interstate’s expertise in “motorsport precision” makes them the ideal partner to define the brand’s growth, RunGP founder and CEO, Marcel Muenster, said: “Their track record… makes them the perfect creative partner to define and grow RunGP.”
With mass participation events like the “7.032” (one-sixth of a marathon) and youth-focused “One Mo Mile” sprints, the organisation is engineering a multi-platform property designed for both elite performance and community impact.
RunGP, the flagship series of the Global Running League (GRL), is positioning itself as the “Formula 1 of running.” The competition transforms iconic Grand Prix circuits, such as Qatar’s Lusail International Circuit, Silverstone, and Monza, into high-stakes arenas for team-based elite racing and mass participation. Supported by Olympic legend, Sir Mo Farah, the league aims to address global inactivity y merging the high-energy spectacle of motorsport with the universal accessibility of running.
RunGP’s format is intentionally disruptive, featuring a professional team-based league where squads of seven, including elite athletes, influencers, and celebrity, backed captains, compete in relay formats.
The league has already secured a global broadcast deal with DAZN and a production partnership with Whisper, ensuring the “Moonlight Circuit” and elite team finals reach over 200 markets live and for free.
