ICC Announce Merchandise Agreement With Fanatics

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has partnered with merchandise retailer, Fanatics, who will oversee the governing body’s global retail.

The agreement sees Fanatics take control of manufacturing, online sales and in-venue merchandising, while also managing event retail for the upcoming Men’s T20 World Cup, Women’s T20 World Cup and World Test Championship Final.

The ICC will look to take advantage of Fanatics’ extensive distribution network, with facilities located in the target markets of Australia and India.

Commenting on the partnership, ICC chief commercial officer, Anurag Dahiya, said: “We are delighted to welcome Fanatics to the ICC family.”

“This partnership will be key in helping us take the cricket fan experience to the next level.

“We look forward to extending our licensing presence to not only event host nations but all countries with passionate cricket-loving fans,” he said.

A new online store, operating on the Cloud Commerce Platform developed by Fanatics, will open in late September.

Fanatics have extensive licensing throughout American sport and are expanding globally, having agreed in August to open NBA-oriented stores in Australia.
