Hockey Australia has announced its first commercial partnership dedicated to its alumni community, signing a deal with financial services firm Partners Wealth Group (PWG).
The agreement positions PWG as the Official Alumni Partner and will see the company deliver financial education and strategic wealth guidance to past and present Hockeyroos and Kookaburras.
The partnership reflects a growing emphasis in Australian sport on long-term athlete welfare and post-career support.
CEO David Pryles expressed the deal as values-driven, aligning with the organisation’s efforts to honour the legacy of national representatives while reinforcing themes of leadership and teamwork. The initiative also supports Hockey Australia as a broader strategic goal of building a lifelong relationship with its athlete base.
The deal enables continued engagement with its alumni network through events and initiatives tied to domestic international fixtures. It also introduces structured financial wellbeing content tailored to the needs of former elite athletes navigating life after competition.
For Partners Wealth Group, the partnership is both a brand alignment opportunity and a platform to expand its reach within the elite sporting community.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but the collaboration is set to run for at least 12 months. It includes PWG’s involvement in alumni-facing activations such as events, awards functions and educational sessions.
