Hockey Australia has formalised an apparel partnership with Kookaburra Sport, designating the 135-year-old Australian brand as the official on-field and off-field uniform provider.
The multi-year agreement, extending through the end of 2027, represents a consolidation of the sport’s commercial assets, as Kookaburra now serves as the front-of-shirt sponsor for the Kookaburras, skort sponsor for the Hockeyroos, and exclusive ball partner across all levels.
The program’s centrepiece is the ‘Every Stitch, A Story’ campaign, which introduces a 2026 kit range designed with direct input from elite athletes.
Responding to player feedback, the new uniforms feature a bold return to traditional green and gold, with a specific focus on unifying the visual identity of the men’s and women’s national squads. The organisation has prioritised high-performance sustainability, utilising modern performance fabrics and recycled materials refined through local sampling and testing.

Noting the strategic value of the partnership, Hockey Australia CEO, David Pryles, said: “Putting players at the heart of the design process ensures these kits genuinely reflect our teams, where they come from, what they stand for, and what it means to represent Australia.”
The collaboration builds on a 30-year shared history, with Kookaburra remaining a 100% Australian family-owned business.
A recognisable highlight of the new range is the bespoke Indigenous design created by Kevin Bynder in collaboration with Olympic legend Nova Peris.
The artwork tells a holistic story of the sport’s ecosystem, using circular motifs to represent the national teams surrounded by grassroots clubs. The design is grounded in Noongar culture, depicting the Darling Ranges as the Waagyl (Rainbow Serpent), symbolising connection and continuity across the hockey community.
The new kits will be officially debuted ahead of the 2026 international season, featuring in the FIH Pro League and the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup in August.
