Hobart Hurricanes signs on confectionery company Cadbury as a new shirt sponsor ahead of their Australian Big Bash League season.

The length of the deal was not disclosed with Cadbury’s logo to feature on the chest area of the Hurricanes’ men’s and women’s teams.

Several players from both teams have been named as on-field ambassadors including, George Bailey, Simon Milenko and Riley Meredith, Erin Fazackerley, Steffanie Daffara and Brooke Hepburn.

Cadbury has also agreed to become an official partner of the Cricket Tasmania governing body.

Hurricanes general manager Phil Rigby said: “With Cadbury, expect to see even more glorious purple at Blundstone Arena, especially as we work together on some exciting game-day activities highlighted by a Cadbury Christmas Eve clash extravaganza.

“Plus there’s our huge ‘pet project’ – creating the family fun ‘Cadbury Hill’ around the old scoreboard on the eastern side of the stadium.

“So our members and fans and their young families and kids will have plenty to look forward to this summer on the field with our players, around the grounds with our event entertainment, and off the field with some major joint digital and social media content in the pipeline,” Rigby said.
