Hisense Australia Becomes Major Partner Of The NRL In New Multi-Year Deal

Electronic brand Hisense Australia has just signed a major multi-year partnership with the National Rugby League (NRL).

As part of the new partnership, Hisense becomes an Official Partner of the NRL Telstra Premiership and naming rights sponsor of the NRL’s Thursday Night Football broadcast, to be known as Hisense Thursday Night Football.

Commencing on 12th March, the deal will encompass all 192 Premiership matches and Finals Series fixtures in 2020.

Andre Iannuzzi, Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with the NRL and bringing the Hisense brand closer to the NRL’s passionate fan base.

“This major sponsorship reflects our focus on showcasing our innovative and premium product range to Australians and underscores our commitment to our customers, ensuring they experience their favourite sporting games as crisp, clear and true-to-life as possible in their homes.”

Andrew Abdo, NRL Chief Commercial Officer, said: “This partnership reinforces the ever-growing value of NRL for sponsors, and reinforces how our scale and reach can deliver deeper, more meaningful engagement with customers and drive larger returns on investment.”

In addition to becoming an Official Partner of the NRL Telstra Premiership and bringing Hisense Thursday Night Football to viewers around Australia, Hisense will also be a State of Origin Major Partner for 2020 and 2021 including stadium branding, digital integrations and social media.

Hisense is also set to be the inaugural Official Presenting Partner of NRL TV.

Shared across NRL.com and the NRL App, NRL TV offers fans more ways to consume NRL content, with match replays and highlights, archival content as well as team and player profile videos.
