Hawks & IAMS Team Up for NBL26

image

The Illawarra Hawks have announced Illawarra Aboriginal Medical Service (IAMS) as their new back-of-shorts sponsor for the NBL26 season.

While modest in scale compared to major front-of-jersey deals, the partnership highlights a growing trend across Australian sport: the integration of corporate partnerships with targeted community outcomes. For the Hawks, the alignment with IAMS is as much about local impact as brand visibility.

IAMS, a long-standing provider of health services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Illawarra region, will leverage the platform to expand awareness of its Healthy Deadly Kids (HDK) program.

Delivered in schools, HDK focuses on encouraging healthy choices through sport, cultural engagement and education, with Hawks players and staff actively supporting delivery. By embedding athletes into program activities, the partnership uses basketball as a vehicle to inspire positive behaviours and strengthen connections to Country and community.
