Harvey Norman Takes Naming Rights Of Super Rugby Pacific

Harvey Norman has been confirmed as the Super Rugby Pacific naming rights partner for the 2022 season.

At the season launch today, Rugby Australia CEO, Andy Marinos, said: “A new era is upon us as we prepare to welcome the inaugural season of Harvey Norman Super Rugby Pacific.”

The Harvey Norman Super Rugby Pacific tickets will go on sale on 7 February, with the games live, ad-free and on demand on Stan Sport and one game a week will feature live on 9Network.

Stan acting chief executive officer, Martin Kugeler, said: “After a brilliant start for rugby on Stan Sport, we are looking forward to showcasing the new Super Rugby Pacific competition in 2022.

“Super Rugby Pacific forms part of a blockbuster year on Stan Sport with viewers able to both enjoy men and women’s Rugby from grassroots to world-class international matches,” he said.

The deal comes after the success of the the Harvey Norman Super Rugby Au and Trans-Tasman season last year, with Harvey Norman holding the naming-rights to the 2021 edition.

The first match will take place on 18 February between Moana Pasifika and the Sydney Blues at the Queenstown hub.

The 2022 season will focus on fan engagement with the introduction of the Harvey Norman Super Rugby Pacific tipping competition with weekly prizes and fan voted MVP.

Harvey Norman has also announced a VIP competition, where fans can win a VIP Super Rugby Pacific Grand Final package worth $10,000.
