Google Pixel has announced partnerships with Premier League clubs, Arsenal Football Club and Liverpool Football Club. With this new agreement, Pixel becomes the Official Mobile Phone partner for both the men’s and women’s senior teams.

This partnership expands on Pixel’s previous involvement with The FA and aims to increase its engagement within domestic and international football. The objective is to provide fans with more access to the game.

Arsenal and Liverpool, known for their significant histories in the league, will utilize Pixel’s AI-powered camera and its features to produce content for their fans. This collaboration will offer tech-enabled experiences in stadiums such as Anfield, the Emirates Stadium, Meadow Park, and Prenton Park. Fans at home will also benefit from this partnership.

Liverpool Football Club plans to introduce a women’s football show on YouTube in collaboration with Pixel, giving insights into the Red’s Women’s Super League season. Meanwhile, Arsenal Football Club will offer pitchside footage from their home Premier League and Women’s Super League matches. A content series titled “Pitchside, Presented by Pixel” will be produced, using footage captured on Pixel phones.

Additionally, ‘Pixel FC’ is a project focused on promoting women’s football. This initiative brings together content creators dedicated to women’s football and was introduced ahead of the Women’s World Cup.

Eileen Mannion, Vice President Marketing at Google UK, stated, “Our AI-powered camera will be used to enhance the matchday experience. We hope to provide fans a closer look at the game.”

Pixel’s aim with these partnerships is to address the differences in viewership between the men’s and women’s games. They plan to offer an improved viewing experience for fans of both teams.

Juliet Slot, Arsenal’s chief commercial officer, commented on the partnership, saying, “We always aim to prioritize our fans. This partnership with Google Pixel will allow us to offer them high-quality content.”

While the details regarding the financial aspects of these deals have not been disclosed, these collaborations indicate Pixel’s approach to making football more accessible and promoting gender equality.
