Golden State Warriors set to sell monthly tickets with no court view

Highly successful and equally popular NBA franchise, the Golden State Warriors, are offering monthly ticket subscriptions to fans with no view of the court.

In what is believed to be the first of its kind, the ‘In the Building Pass’ will cost US$100 per month and provide access to the team’s Oracle Arena during every home game.

The mobile pass does not include a seat or access to the seating bowl but instead gives fans the opportunity to go to the 20,000-seater venue’s bars and restaurants and watch live games on the televisions in the club areas.

It has been reported, that the club is expecting to sell 200 passes per month and each one will automatically renew every month until the end of April.

The new offering, which comes ahead of the franchise’s move to Chase Center in 2019, is likely to be in high demand given that there are currently 44,000 people on the Warriors season ticket waiting list.

This is thought to be the first case where a sports team has offered fans a ticket simply to get into the stadium without any viewing access of the playing area.
