Genius Sports And Pixellot Deal Taking AI-Automated Video Global

A new streaming distribution partnership between the official data, technology and commercial partner for more than 100 sporting competitions around the world, Genius Sports, and Pixellot has been revealed.

The partnership will see Genius Sports acquire the exclusive rights to distribute Pixellot’s AI-Automated video and data analytics solutions through its leading camera systems to leagues and federations across Genius Sport’s commercial portfolio.

The distribution of the video and data offerings are expected to help leagues and federations at all levels of sport expand their global audiences, enhance performance levels, and drive new revenues, benefitting fans, coaches, brands, sportsbooks, and media partners.

Genius Sports CEO, Mark Locke, said the partnership will help power a complete live data and video ecosystem across global sport.

“Providing leagues of every level with a premium live streaming solution is a fundamental pillar of our work with sports partners,” Locke said.

“By expanding our agreement with Pixellot, we will allow more sports to take control of their streaming strategies.

“Together we will elevate the status and visibility of sports leagues, reaching new and existing fans and sponsors around the world,” he said.

Pixellot CEO, Alon Werber, said: “Integrating live video and data with new viewing and analysis options is already impacting millions of fans, athletes, and coaches around the world.”

“This exciting new partnership with Genius Sports brings additional monetisation options that will create new long-term revenue streams for sports organisations,” Werber said.

The partnership between the two brands first began in 2020, where they delivered the AI-Automated video and data solutions to the Argentine Football Association, the Croatian Basketball Federation, and the Israeli Basketball Association.

The new expansion of this partnership will reach more than 100 sporting competitions across basketball, football, volleyball, ice hockey, and baseball.
