Fujitsu General Australia and the Essendon Football Club have formally announced the conclusion of their 12-year co-major sponsorship affiliation.
The decision aligns with Fujitsu General’s transition to new ownership under Paloma Rheem Holdings, preparing the company to redirect investment toward new initiatives focused on growth and market evolution.
The long-term partnership, which began in 2013, is acknowledged by both organisations as a successful venture built on mutual respect and shared commitment.
Highlighting the legacy created during the partnership, managing director of Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand, Philip Perham, said: “Our partnership with Essendon has been an extraordinary journey, one built on shared values, mutual respect, and a genuine commitment to excellence.”
“We are proud of the initiatives the partnership has let us achieve to support our commitment to grassroots programs and diverse community initiatives,” Perham said.
Confirming the strategic value of retaining the company within the club’s corporate ecosystem, Essendon CEO, Craig Vozzo, added: “We recognise this long-term affiliation as an outstanding success for both organisations, and whilst we farewell them as our Co-major Partnership concludes, we’re pleased that we are continuing to work together ongoing through our EFC Business Network,” Vozzo said.
Despite the conclusion of the principal sponsorship, the relationship will be maintained through a key commercial continuity model.
Fujitsu General Australia will continue as a co-major partner of the EFC Network, recognising the successful business-to-business outcomes generated over the past decade.
The transition allows Fujitsu General to invest capital in other strategic areas that facilitate growth under its new corporate structure, while Essendon will now seek a new co-major partner to join its commercial portfolio ahead of the next AFL season.
Fujitsu General Australia confirmed that its broader community commitment remains strong, particularly its long-standing support for the Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation, to which it has donated over $11 million since 1996.
