Foxtel Scores Exclusive IPL Men’s T20 Rights Extension

The Foxtel Group has announced a five-year renewal of its long-term partnership with the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL), granting them exclusive tournament broadcasting rights in Australia for their Fox Sports and Kayo Sports platforms until 2027.

The deal will see 74 matches of the most established T20 league in the world broadcast live to an audience of over 4.6 million subscribers, with the number of Tata IPL games expected to increase over the cycle.

The renewal follows a historic agreement with Cricket Australia announced in January that includes the rights to all One-Day International and T20is, home Men’s and Women’s Tests, the Big Bash League, and Women’s Big Bash League matches.

Commenting on the partnership extension, Foxtel Group commercial director sport, Rebecca McCloy, said: “The Tata IPL changed the game more than fifteen years ago and boasts a premier product that attracts intrigue and interest from cricket fans all over the globe.”

“This extended partnership with the Tata IPL compliments and bolsters our already unrivalled cricket offering for subscribers – with fans able to watch all of the big games in one place on Fox Sports,” she said.

The Foxtel Group is currently home to other premium international cricket content, boasting a portfolio of partnerships with England Cricket, New Zealand Cricket, Pakistan Cricket, and South Africa Cricket.

This announcement comes after Foxtel launched a new hospitality experience in the lead up to the AFL season.
