he Australian Baseball League (ABL) has announced an extended broadcast partnership with Foxtel and Kayo for the 2020/21 ABL season.

This partnership extension marks the third-straight season Kayo has increased its commitment to the ABL, Foxtel and Kayo set to show all games of the 2021 Women’s Showcase.

As part of the deal, Kayo will show 48 regular-season games as well as the playoffs, with Fox Sports set to include a special selection of key games over the season.

Baseball Australia CEO, Cam Vale, said he is excited to see the partnership continue for another year, thanks as well to support from the Federal Government for under-represented sports like baseball.

“Kayo has been a significant supporter of the ABL, and more widely baseball in Australia, since launching,” Vale said.

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership and put the ABL front-and-centre of Kayo’s audience yet again.

“But equally as exciting is our return to Foxtel and the fact our historic Women’s Showcase will be broadcast live on Fox Sports, reaching Australia’s largest audience of sports fans.

“It is important to thank and acknowledge Federal Government Communications Minister, Paul Fletcher, and the support provided through his department to Baseball.

“The support has multiple benefits on top of having the ABL and the Women’s Showcase broadcast across Australia.

“Their assistance has made it possible for us to inspire female baseballers to a new pathway, allow for partnerships like we announced last week with the South Australian Government and showcase the ABL to the US and Asia,” he said.
