Foxtel And BeIN Sports Extend Partnership

he partnership between the Foxtel Group and beIN Sports has been extended after the companies signed a multi-year agreement providing Foxtel and Kayo with coverage of European Football, Northern Hemisphere Rugby and International Tennis.

According to a press release, “beIN sports will continue to deliver premium football, rugby and tennis content.”

This includes Football’s Carabao Cup, English Football League Championship, Scottish Professional Football League and English Premier League Club TV channels as well as English Professional Club Rugby.

It will also provide year-round coverage of the over 40 Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and 40 Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Tour Tournaments as well as live coverage of the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup.

Foxtel Group commercial director sports, Rebecca McCloy, said the partnership extension is great for the 2.4 million Foxtel Group sports subscribers.

“We have never had more sports subscribers and beIN Sports provides Foxtel and Kayo subscribers with a real depth in the European football, international rugby and tennis,” McCloy said.

“Together with our unrivalled coverage of the most popular Australian sports dan out long-term commitment to women’s and under-represented sports, our partnership with beIN Sports consolidates the Foxtel Group’s position as the home of sport in Australia,” she said.

According to Foxtel, the new agreement will allow Foxtel Sports retail customers will have “free authenticated access to the beIN Sports Connect app,” by using their Foxtel log-in and password, “providing even more live sports action.”

Foxtel will also continue to represent BeIN sports for advertising sales in Australia.

BeIN Asia Pacific managing director Mike Kerr, said they are proud to continue their partnership with Foxtel.

“Since beIN Sports’ launch in Australia, we have grown alongside Foxtel to offer fans the best of European football, international rugby and tennis,” Kerr said.

“This year we expanded our content offering including ATP and European Professional Club Rugby.

“These new rights further demonstrate our ongoing commitment to deliver a great sports experience and fuel Foxtel subscribers’ huge appetite for sports.
