Australian Baseball will be on full display next week when the 6th ranked Australian national team take on KBO champions Doosan Bears in Geelong.
Australia’s two games on February 16 and 18 will be broadcast live on FOX SPORTS and streamed on multi-sport streaming service Kayo Sports.
Game one from Geelong Baseball Centre will be shown at 7pm on Sunday and the second at 7pm next Tuesday.
The two-game KBO Challenge will serve as an important part of Team Australia’s preparations for the six-team last-chance Olympic Qualifier in Taiwan in April.
Baseball Australia chief executive, Cam Vale, said it was a win for fans to be able to continue following Team Australia’s path to the Olympics.
“Fox Sports and Kayo Sports have been great supporters of Boral Team Australia during its quest for Olympic qualification,” Vale said.
“It was fantastic for our fans to be able to follow every second of Premier12 last year and now we’re thrilled Fox Sports and Kayo Sports will show our games against Doosan, which are an important part of the preparation for Taiwan.
“It is also a rare chance to see a top-level Asian powerhouse play on Australian television.”
International broadcast details will be announced later this week.
