Four’N Twenty, an iconic Australian food brand, has announced a new partnership with Baseball Australia.

The collaboration will see the renowned food giant supporting Team Australia in their upcoming Asia Pro Championship in Japan, scheduled for November 16-19, as they take The Great Australian Taste overseas.

Since 2019, Four’N Twenty’s meat pies have been a hit among Japanese baseball fans at the Tokyo Dome.

Anand Surujpal, Chief Marketing and Growth Officer at Patties Food Group, expressed the company’s delight about the new venture.

“We’ve been keeping Aussie sports fans fed and happy for 76 years,” Surujpal said.

“Teaming up with Baseball Australia is a whole new ball game for us and we are so proud to be sharing The Great Australian Taste with fans all over the world.

“We are thrilled to bring the ritual of the game to the baseball community, and to celebrate the all-year-round fan favourite with Team Australia in Japan.”

Glenn Williams, CEO of Baseball Australia, noted the natural connection between Four’N Twenty and the sport.

“Four’N Twenty and sport have had a long history. Sport and pies go hand-in-hand,” Williams asserted.

“It’s a quintessential Australian food served in local canteens in baseball clubs all across Australia. We are excited to share Four’N Twenty with the baseball world.”

This partnership is embedded in a shared commitment to grassroots sports, as both Four’N Twenty and Baseball Australia value community engagement. With over 40,000 active playing members in the baseball community, and the sport’s reliance on passionate volunteers, this collaboration underscores their dedication to fans and community sports.

Australian baseball has witnessed significant growth in the women’s game, providing a pathway for players to pursue education abroad.

Both Four’N Twenty and the Australian baseball team have achieved success on the global stage. The partnership is poised to elevate their presence further, as Four’N Twenty continues to make its mark in various sports worldwide, becoming a staple at basketball games and earning Aussie icon status on the global stage.

Team Australia, currently ranked 10th in the world, is ahead of traditional baseball powerhouses like Puerto Rico and Canada. With a quarterfinal appearance at the 2023 World Baseball Classic and strong showings in the 2019 Premier12 (World Championship) and U23 World Cup, they are a formidable force internationally.

The inclusion of baseball/softball on the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics schedule is another boost to the sport in Australia, particularly with the Brisbane-hosted 2032 Games on the horizon.

Team Australia’s star catcher, Alex Hall, enthusiastically noted that the partnership with Four’N Twenty is a perfect match.

“We’ve all grown up on the classic meat pie, at games as kids and on the way home from training sessions, so the whole team is pumped to have the backing of Four’N Twenty moving forward.

“Here’s to many more slices of success for Team Australia.”
