Fan Controlled Sport and Entertainment (FCSE) are set to launch a new basketball league, Fan Controlled Hoops (FCH), in February 2023, where fans can vote on in-game situations live.

With 30 million total views on the first 2 seasons of FCSE’s Fan Controlled Football (FCF), where fans can vote on what plays their team runs, FCH fibes fans the opportunity to control game situations in the 4v4 basketball league.

The tournament will be played on a full-sized LED smart court, indicating new game mechanics, including ‘lit Zones, lit players, powerups, substitutions, stats, and more’ as voted by fans.

Games will be broadcast live on Twitch, NBC LX, Peacock and DAZN, with celebrities, influencers and athletes featuring in various roles, including team owners.

Commenting on the new league, FCSE co-founder and CEO, Sohrob Farudi, said: “We created a thriving football league with FCF and more importantly, validated our belief that sports fans want to take their fandom to the next level.”

Additionally, former National Basketball Players’ Association executive director, Michelle Roberts, and NBA Legend, Baron Davis, will serve as strategic advisors to the leadership team.

Commenting on her new role, Roberts said: “I’ve always had a passion for basketball and am thrilled to team with FCH to build an exciting league for fans of all ages.”

“Sohrob and his team are revolutionizing the way fans consume and interact with sports.

“I look forward to bringing my knowledge of the NBA and some ideas I’ve had through the years to create and incredibly entertaining brand of basketball,” she said.

Davis added: “This is an awesome opportunity to introduce a new style of entertainment to the game, including new rules and creative ideas.”

“I’m excited to connect with fans in new ways through Web3, bringing experiences they can only dream about,” he said.

The launch of this new league has come following the announcement of the NBA’s new fantasy game, pushing for fan-interactivity with the world’s premier basketball league.
