Footballer Kylian Mbappé Becomes Investor with Sorare

French fantasy football game and NFT trading card platform, Sorare, has announced Paris-Saint Germain footballer, Kylian Mbappé, as their latest athlete investor.

The deal will see the pair work together on their shared goals of creating a new era of sports fandom on and off the field and bringing a force for positive change to global communities.

Additionally, the investment means Mbappé will become Sorare’s first football  ambassador, with the French athlete venturing into the metaverse for the first time with web3 related social initiatives..

Sorare CEO and co-founder, Nicolas Julia, said “Kylian Mbappé is one of the most talented, celebrated and recognisable athletes in modern sports.”

“Like Sorare, he has limitless ambition, he’s fast-moving on and off the pitch, he has a truly global reach, and he is committed to enacting positive change in the world.

“We’re thrilled to have Kylian join Sorare on our journey to connect millions of sports fans worldwide with their favourite athletes in innovative new ways,” he said.

Mbappé, added: “Off the pitch, the most important thing for me is helping empower young people – who might not have access to the type of opportunities others have – to realise and fulfill their dreams and potential.”

The announcement comes after Sorare struck a multi-year deal with Major League Soccer.
