Football Australia and Subway Australia Conclude Socceroos Naming Rights Partnership

Football Australia and Subway® Australia today announce that Subway® Australia’s Socceroos naming rights sponsorship agreement will conclude in August, following the natural completion of the current contract term.

Over the course of the sponsorship, Subway® Australia has been a proud and committed supporter of Football Australia, the Subway® Socceroos, CommBank Matildas and the broader football community.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Interim CEO at Football Australia, Heather Garriock, said: “Subway has been a fantastic partner to work with, and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved together.” 

“Their support has helped us elevate the Socceroos brand, enhance our national teams programs on and off the field, and elevate the sport to new heights,” Garriock noted.

Managing director for Subway® Australia and New Zealand, Shane Bracken, added: “We’re incredibly proud of the impact our sponsorship with Football Australia has had.”

“Supporting grassroots to elite levels of the game has been a privilege, and we’re honoured to have been part of so many memorable milestones,” Bracken expressed.

Joining Football Australia in September 2022, Subway® Australia has partnered with Football Australia through some of Australia’s most iconic moments—including two record-breaking World Cup performances and a period of unprecedented growth in participation across the country.

With both organisations entering new strategic phases, the decision to conclude the sponsorship was made jointly, and with a strong sense of pride in what has been achieved
