FC Bayern Munich Secures Landmark Partnership with Google, Naming Gemini and Pixel Official Partners

FC Bayern Munich has officially announced a long-term partnership with Google, designating Gemini as the club’s inaugural Official Consumer AI Partner and Google Pixel as its Official Smartphone Partner commencing from the start of the 2026/27 season.

The commercial agreement encompasses both the club’s senior men’s and women’s operations, integrating advanced Google products across digital content creation, matchday fan engagement, and supporter-facing services.

Under the partnership, Gemini will serve as an interactive AI tool for supporters before, during, and after fixtures. Planned technological applications include providing detailed opposition intelligence, advanced tactical analysis, comprehensive statistics, line-up updates, and real-time match developments.

Reflecting on the significance of the alliance, FC Bayern board member for marketing and sales, Rouven Kasper, noted that the agreement combines exclusive digital content with cutting-edge artificial intelligence to transform how supporters interact with the teams.

Echoing these sentiments, Google DACH senior director of marketing, Dr. Anne-Katrin Hübel, emphasised that Gemini and Pixel will be leveraged to make football experiences profoundly more personalised, creative, and accessible for the club’s global fan base.

Developed in close collaboration with the organisation, these digital experiences will be accessible both to attendees at the stadium and supporters following remotely.

For Google, the collaboration provides a massive, highly engaged global football audience to demonstrate practical consumer applications for generative AI, while FC Bayern significantly enhances its digital fan engagement strategy.

In addition, Google Pixel assumes the mantle of Official Smartphone Partner, spearheading a weekly behind-the-scenes content program distributed through official club channels and Pixel platforms.

The media coverage will capture player arrivals, daily life at Säbener Straße, behind-the-scenes access inside the Allianz Arena, kit launches, and immersive features highlighting stars from both the men’s and women’s squads, such as Jamal Musiala and Giulia Gwinn.

Furthermore, Google will introduce exclusive FC Bayern-themed features through Pixel Drops, offering users complimentary digital assets including personalised club wallpapers, custom app icons, and tailored team features directly integrated into the consumer product ecosystem.
