FanDuel strikes deal as Carolina Panthers’ offficial sports betting partner

FanDuel, a prominent US sports betting company, has announced a partnership with NFL’s Carolina Panthers.

The multi-year agreement solidifies FanDuel as the official sports betting partner of the Panthers, setting the stage for collaborative endeavours in various aspects of digital and social media content production.

FanDuel will be deeply integrated into the Carolina Panthers’ digital ecosystem, working closely with the franchise to engage fans through innovative content initiatives. Bank of America Stadium, the iconic home ground of the Panthers, will undergo a digital transformation with the incorporation of FanDuel branding, creating an immersive experience for fans attending events at the stadium.

“Bringing FanDuel to sports fans across North Carolina is an important moment for our business, and we are thrilled to be able to work with the Carolina Panthers to introduce their fanbase to America’s number one sportsbook,” commented Mike Raffensperger, FanDuel’s chief commercial officer.

FanDuel’s deal with the Panthers will officially kick off on March 11, coinciding with the legalisation of mobile sports betting in the state of North Carolina. This development opens up new opportunities for FanDuel to connect with sports enthusiasts and expand its user base in the region.

North Carolina has a unique regulatory framework for online sports betting. Only a maximum of 11 online sports betting sites are permitted to operate in the state, and each must secure a partnership with a professional sports franchise, league, golf club or motorsports track within the state.

FanDuel was already active in North Carolina through its partnership with the PGA Tour, but this new collaboration with the Panthers solidifies its position as a leading player in the state’s sports betting landscape.

With the addition of North Carolina, FanDuel’s online sportsbook presence now extends to 20 states across the US, reinforcing its reputation as the most widely available sportsbook in the country. Beyond the US borders, FanDuel is also active in Ontario, Canada.

In August, FanDuel entered into a multi-year partnership with NASCAR, becoming an authorised gaming operator for the racing series.
