England Rugby League locks-in Ronseal until 2021

England Rugby League has secured the sponsorship of UK DIY market leaders, Ronseal, on a four-year deal starting this year.

The British woodcare brand will feature on the playing shirts of England Men’s, Knights, Women’s, Wheelchair, Academy and Youth squads until the end of 2021, including the next Rugby League World Cup.

Initially, Ronseal will be displayed on the lower back space of the shirts in 2018 before moving to the upper backspace from 2019 onwards.

Interim Rugby Football League Chief Executive, Ralph Rimmer, said, “Firstly, I’d like to offer a warm welcome to Ronseal as a new partner of England Rugby League and I’m delighted they’ve chosen Rugby League as their first venture into sports sponsorship.

“It’s fantastic to add such a well-recognised and trusted brand to the England portfolio and having Ronseal on board only strengthens preparations for this year’s Test in Denver, the International Series against New Zealand and further fixtures including the RLWC2021.

“We look forward to working with Ronseal for the next four years and I am certain that this long-term deal will be a great benefit for the sport and for them.”

Brian Padden, Vice President, General Manager CBG Europe for Sherwin Williams said, “We are delighted that England Rugby League approached Ronseal with the opportunity to be the Official Partner up until the 2021 World Cup. This will be our first venture into sports partnership and England Rugby League feels like the right fit for us.

“England Rugby League’s commitment to performance, durability and integrity aligns perfectly with the core values of our brand and I am very much looking forward to seeing where this partnership will take us both over the next 4 years.”

England will play New Zealand in a three-match International Test Series which starts on Saturday, October 27 at KCOM Stadium, Hull, with the second test at Anfield, Liverpool on Saturday, November 3 and concludes at Elland Road, Leeds on Sunday, November 11.
