Eagles And Warriors Partner With Ola

The West Coast Eagles and the New Zealand Warriors have announced sponsorship deals with Ola, that will see the rideshare company become both clubs’ official rideshare partner.

The deal will see fans for both clubs receive discounts on rides and special promotions throughout the season, including an offer for new customers who download the app to receive a $20 discount off their first ride.

West Coast Eagles general manager of marketing, Tony Haselhurst, said the club is excited to partner with the rapidly growing global company that launched their Australian operations in Perth in 2018.

“The West Coast Eagles are delighted to be partnering with Ola and are excited to be working with a nimble and dynamic international brand.

“Our partnership will provide the West Coast Eagles members, fans and corporate network a valuable transport alternative when travelling to Optus Stadium and around Perth,” Mr Haselhurst said.

Ola Australia managing director, Simon Smith, said Ola is excited to extend their commitment to Perth with this deal.

“We are excited to partner with the West Coast Eagles Football Club and improve the match-day experience for fans travelling to Optus Stadium,” he said.

“Ola chose to launch its Australian operations in Perth, and we are passionate about providing better transport solutions for the residents of Perth.

“Australians deserve more choice and we offer a reliable, safe and better value rideshare experience.

“This partnership enables us to communicate directly with Eagles’ fans and will help Ola become a household brand,” Mr Smith said.

New Zealand Warriors commercial manager, Glenn Critchley, said the club is excited to partner with the rapidly growing global company.

“We are really pleased to be working with such an innovative and creative global brand like Ola,” he said.

“Fan experience on our game days is a huge focus for the Vodafone Warriors, we were second in the NRL for that last year and we really want to be number one this year.

“Ease of transport definitely plays a part in this experience.

“We are really looking forward to working with Ola throughout our season,” Critchley said.

Ola New Zealand country head, Brian Dewil, said this deal reflects their commitment to New Zealand.

“We are excited to partner with the Vodafone Warriors and improve the match-day experience for fans travelling to Mt Smart Stadium.

“Ola offers Kiwis a reliable rideshare service which provides a safe and affordable alternative and a better deal for drivers, with lower commission rates that allow them to earn more.

“This new alliance with the Vodafone Warriors is part of our commitment to providing better transport solutions for New Zealanders,” Mr Dewil said.
