Dubai To Host 2025 Global Esports Games
Selected by the Global Esports Federation (GEF), Dubai is set to host the 2025 Global Esports Games, with the 2024 edition to be held in China and the 2026 event to take place in the US.
GEF CEO, Paul J. Foster, broke the news at the Seasons 2022 kick-off at the Global Esports Tour at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
“We can’t wait to see athletes from across the world standing on centre stage at the GEF arena in December 2025 as they compete for the glory of their home country flag, the fans at home and in the stands,” Foster said.
“The whole world knows that Dubai is a great host and offers an epic world-class setting,” he said.
GEF president, Chris Chan, celebrated Dubai’s admission as the games host, saying: “Once again, the eyes of the world, the energy, and passion of our #worldconnected community will light up Dubai, the UAE, and the region.”
Offering a US$1million prize pool, the next GEF event, the Global Esports Tour 2022 is set for Birmingham between 6-7 August.
