Major League Pickleball (MLP) has announced a significant multiyear sponsorship agreement with DoorDash, marking the food delivery giant as the league’s newest title sponsor.
Although specific financial terms remain undisclosed, a reliable source familiar with the deal has indicated that it represents MLP’s largest sponsorship agreement to date, encompassing a three-year duration until 2027 and valued at over seven figures annually.
With this new partnership, MLP will undergo a rebranding as “MLP presented by DoorDash,” which will include the introduction of a fresh logo.
The DoorDash branding will not only feature prominently on MLP team uniforms but will also be visible behind the baselines at league events.
Additionally, DoorDash will serve as the title sponsor for MLP’s highly anticipated annual finals in New York City, along with various other promotional activations.
This includes the establishment of DoorDash-branded food pickup zones at events, as well as offers for DashPass members, such as seat upgrades, gift cards, and a recurring promotion that entitles customers to a free jar of pickles with any DoorDash grocery order exceeding $12.
The announcement was made via a lively social media video released Thursday morning, featuring Dude Perfect, who is a part-owner of MLP’s Nashville Chefs franchise, alongside MLP players Anna Bright and Tyson McGuffin.
This strategic partnership signifies a decisive move for MLP as it continues to elevate its profile within the competitive sports landscape, leveraging DoorDash’s extensive reach to enhance fan engagement and experience.
