Cricket Australia Continues Alliances with Toyota and HCLTech

Cricket Australia has announced a significant expansion of its partnerships with Toyota and HCLTech. The two entities have secured branding placements on the playing shirts of the Australian national cricket teams for the upcoming 2023/24 cricket season.

Toyota has been designated as the men’s front-of-shirt partner, and will feature its branding on the sleeves of both the men’s and women’s playing shirts. This marks a transition from the previous arrangement where Qantas held the front-of-shirt role for the men’s side. Toyota’s expanded role reflects the brand’s enduring commitment to the sport, embodying a partnership that extends back to 2012.

HCLTech will retain its position on the sleeve of the men’s playing shirt and men’s training apparel. The company’s continued involvement underscores the critical role of technology in the modern cricketing landscape.

Toyota’s involvement in Australian cricket goes beyond the national teams. In addition to sponsoring both the men’s and women’s national teams, Toyota’s sponsorship portfolio extends to the men’s Big Bash League (BBL), the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), and encompasses CA’s inclusion and diversity programs. The automaker also contributes significantly to community cricket through the Toyota Good for Cricket Program, illustrating a commitment that spans various facets of the sport.

HCLTech, as a digital technology partner, has played a pivotal role in enhancing the technological infrastructure supporting Australian cricket. The extended partnership signals the continuing importance of cutting-edge technology in optimising player performance, fan engagement, and overall cricketing experiences.

Stephanie Beltrame, Cricket Australia’s executive general manager of broadcast and commercial, stated, “We are delighted to further strengthen our relationships with our valued partners Toyota and HCLTech, and that their prestigious brands will appear on the Australian shirts this summer.”

As the cricket season progresses, the Australian men’s national cricket team is preparing for a three-match Test series against Pakistan, starting on December 14th. Meanwhile, the women’s team is getting ready for a one-off Test match against India, which will begin on December 21st.
