Chemist Warehouse has extended its partnership with the National Rugby League (NRL), committing to remain the league’s Official Pharmacy Partner until the end of the 2029 season.
The deal continues a relationship first established in 2018 and will take the partnership beyond a decade, covering both the men’s and women’s Premierships as well as representative events.
A Partnership That Goes Beyond Brand Placement
Chemist Warehouse will continue to support fan engagement initiatives such as the NRL Fan Zone, which features interactive activations, skill-based challenges and meet-and-greet opportunities with players.
NRL chief executive, Andrew Abdo, emphasised the alignment between the league and Chemist Warehouse on values of health, wellness and community engagement.
“Chemist Warehouse have been partners of the game since 2018, they are great investors, enabling a lot of activations for young people.”
“They have extended with us for another four years which will take it to over ten years together, and we are grateful for the investment they have put into the game,” Abdo said.
For Chemist Warehouse, the partnership offers sustained exposure in major rugby league markets, including New South Wales and Queensland, while also extending into grassroots pathways and women’s competitions.
Deputy CEO, Mario Tascone, described the deal as a continuation of a relationship built on shared values of accessibility and performance.
Strategically, the extension reflects how retail and pharmaceutical brands are leveraging sport to reinforce wellness narratives while capturing diverse fan demographics. With the NRL’s fan base spanning urban and regional communities, the sport offers Chemist Warehouse a broad platform to reinforce its market leadership position.
