The Ministry of Sport is committed to championing women in sport, a commitment that is personified within the annual Women In Sport Summit.
As APAC’s largest and most influential gathering for women in the sports industry, 2024 marks the sixth iteration of this landmark event.
In order to support the future leaders of women’s sport, this year Ministry of Sport will also host an inaugural Student Day to prelude Wednesday’s event.
This session is designed to guide students through the diverse career opportunities available within women’s sports, showcasing the pathways they can pursue, from the field to the front office.
“The Women in Sport Summit Student Day represents a crucial step towards illuminating the diverse career paths available in the sports industry. We’re dedicated to showing young students, especially girls, that their future can be as vibrant and expansive as the field itself,” said Ben Parsons, Founder of the Ministry of Sport.
Student Day is tailored for students passionate about sports and eager to make a mark within the industry. Our lineup of inspiring speakers will cover all verticals, offering insights into their journeys and the opportunities awaiting in women’s sports. From sports tech innovators to legal experts, coaching professionals, referees, digital marketing wizards, high-performance coaches, administrators, and elite athletes, the day promises a comprehensive exploration of the sports industry.
“Education is the most powerful tool we can use to empower the next generation. By providing students with firsthand insights from leading professionals across sports management, media, and technology, we’re opening doors to new possibilities and aspirations.”
This event is more than just about presenting career paths; it is about empowering young women to pursue their dreams and break barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field.
By creating a platform where students can engage with industry leaders and explore diverse career opportunities, the Women in Sport Summit Student Day aims to build a more inclusive and dynamic future for women in sports, fostering a new generation of leaders that will drive the future of women’s sports
“We believe that every student who attends our event should leave not just with greater knowledge, but with a real sense of opportunity—that no matter their background, the world of sports is accessible and ready for their talents.”
