Century Batteries Extend Supercars Partnership

After three years of a successful partnership between Century Batteries and the Repco Supercars Championship,  the partnership will be continued until 2024.

The partnership, originally established in 2019, is set to support the championship’s transition into the Gen3 cars era and beyond.

Century Batteries advertising supervisor of automotive, Andrew Bottoms, said the last three years of being the official battery of the Championship has performed extremely well despite the unprecedented times for the motorsports industry.

“The extension of our partnership will strengthen our position in the sport, ensuring our brand remains in the heartland of Australian and New Zealand motorsports for many years to come,” Bottoms said.

Supercars general manager of commercial, Jamie Black, said Century Batteries’ decision to continue the partnership is a valued move as the Championship moves into a new era of racing.

“This commitment to further their support of Supercars shows Century Batteries values our current relationship and we’re thrilled to have Century Batteries and their broader team on board for the coming years,” Black said.

The new era of Repco Supercars Championship was unveiled in 2021’s Repco Bathurst 1000 in the form of two Gen3 prototypes set to have their racing debut in 2023.

Following the end of the 2021 Supercars Championship, former Supercars CEO, Sean Seamer, said the Gen3 cars debut in the Repco Supercars Championship will be a massive opportunity for the sport to accelerate on many levels and to attract a wider audience.
