Vancouver-based Myesports Ventures Ltd., today announced plans to build Canada’s first esports stadium to open in 2019.
‘The Gaming Stadium’, is the areas first stadium created specifically for esports and will be built in Richmond, British Columbia.
It will play host to all tournaments, major events, and a smattering of other happenings within the esports world.
The massive complex is being built to help provide a location appropriate for gaming fans of all ages and skill levels to come watch and participate in esports events.
There will also be opportunities for players to enjoy leagues “for all skill levels” as well as coaching for anyone who wants to sharpen their own abilities even further.
Myesports Ventures CEO, Dan Cybak said: “We have so much in store for everyone and we are excited to continue making announcements leading up to launch.”
“This is going to change the landscape of esports in Vancouver.”
