National Rugby League (NRL) club the Parramatta Eels has announced a commercial expansion with vehicle hire provider Budget Car & Truck Rental, elevating the brand to front-of-shorts partner for the NRL squad ahead of the 2027 season.
The multi-year extension builds upon a commercial relationship established in 2026, when Budget joined as the club’s Official Car and Truck Rental Partner and inaugural back-of-shorts sponsor for the Eels’ NRLW program.
Under the updated commercial agreement, the Budget logo will feature prominently on the front of the NRL team’s official playing shorts and retail training shorts during the 2027 campaign.
Welcoming the growth of the corporate alignment following an impactful first season together, Parramatta Eels chief commercial officer, Daniel Clifford, said: “We’re delighted to expand our partnership with Budget following a fantastic first year working together.”
“Budget has been an outstanding partner of the Parramatta Eels and has embraced everything our Club represents, from high performance and community engagement to supporting the growth of our NRLW program.
“The expansion of this partnership highlights the value of building meaningful relationships with brands that share our connection to Western Sydney.
“Collaborating with organisations that genuinely support our community is incredibly important to our Club, and we’re excited to continue growing alongside Budget in 2027 and beyond,” Clifford said.
Budget managing director – Pacific, Thomas Mooney, highlighted the commercial alignment across both the men’s and women’s athletic programs.
“At Budget, we believe in helping people get where they’re going and the Eels do exactly that for their community.”
“We are proud of our existing partnership with the women’s team and we are delighted to extend our sponsorship to the men’s team for the upcoming 2027 season.
“Partnering with the entire club allows us to contribute to something that brings Parramatta together, on game day and well beyond it,” Mooney said.
The upgraded asset placement provides Budget with comprehensive dual-program presence across both elite men’s and women’s squads, reinforcing the company’s regional marketing focus across Western Sydney.
The expansion adds to a growing corporate partner portfolio for the Eels ahead of 2027, which includes newly announced commercial apparel deal with adidas and sleeve partner GWM.
