Broncos To Develop Industry Leaders With Inaugural Sports Business Institute

The Brisbane Broncos’ headquarters is set to become the home for aspiring sports administrators, as the club launches the league’s first-ever Sports Business Institute.

In an exciting new partnership with TAFE Queensland, the institute will host the state’s first hands-on accredited pathway across an entire sporting organisation, offering a double Diploma of Sport and Diploma of Leadership and Management for future sport industry leaders.

The one-year course gives students the opportunity to complete 100 hours of work experience in management, marketing, and media departments while offering unparalleled insights into the operations of an NRL club.

Commenting on the program partnership, Broncos CEO, Dave Donaghy, said: “We want to help build, nurture and power a field of dreams off the footy paddock as well.”

“We recruit the best off the field as well, and they’re committed to helping our future generations thrive, so it’s exciting to be embarking on building that pipeline of talent, right here in Brisbane, that can help all codes nationally.

“This is a truly unique and innovative partnership with TAFE Queensland and an opportunity that will change the game and gives students an inner sanctum experience and, for some – a full-time role at our club at the end of it,” he said.

This announcement comes after the Broncos appointed a new president amidst the club’s takeover last year.
