uper Rugby club, the Blues, have announced foundation sponsor, Barfoot & Thompson, will retain their back-of-jersey position for the next three years.

The partnership extension comes ahead of the Sky Super Rugby Aotearoa 2021 season and will see the partnership reach 29 years between the two organisations.

Barfoot & Thompson managing director, Peter Thompson, said partnering with the Blues reflects the New Zealand-based private real estate company’s philosophy.

“We are Auckland’s largest real estate company and for us it is all about giving back to the region,” Thompson, who is one of three current directors who are grandchildren of the original founders.

“Our whole focus is family.

“We are a company which fully supports sport and we want to see people active and out and about,” he said.

Blues CEO, Andrew Hore, said the Blues see a genuine benefit from the loyalty of Barfoot & Thompson.

“From the championships wins, through leaner times and now in this exciting new era, Peter and his team at Barfoot & Thompson have offered unwavering support and loyalty,” Hore said.

“They help us o a day-to-day basis in housing our players.

“They help to excite and entertain our fans and are fervent supporters in the Blues region.
