Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT Tyres) has been announced as the title sponsor for Cricket Australia’s (CA) upcoming Men’s One Day International and T20 International series against India, reinforcing the brand’s growing presence in global sports partnerships.
Under the agreement, the series will officially be known as the BKT Tyres Men’s ODI Series and BKT Tyres Men’s T20 International Series, beginning October 19 in Perth and October 29 in Canberra respectively.
Sharing how the collaboration reflects shared ambitions to enhance fan engagement and drive global reach, Cricket Australia CEO, Todd Greenberg, said: “We’re delighted to welcome BKT Tyres as the Naming Rights Partner for these marquee series.”
Their passion for cricket and dedication to creating immersive fan experiences align perfectly with our vision for the sport,” Greenberg said.
Sharing how the deal represents a milestone in expanding the company’s footprint, BKT’s joint managing director, Rajiv Poddar, added: “This partnership with Cricket Australia marks a strategic milestone in strengthening BKT’s global footprint and deepening our connection with key markets where cricket is more than a sport — it’s a shared passion,” Poddar added.
Poddar also noted that Australia remains a key market for BKT, with the partnership designed to enhance brand equity and audience engagement through the company’s “Growing Together” philosophy — a long-term approach emphasising collaboration and community connection.
The timing of the announcement coincides with Cricket Australia’s executive delegation visiting India, where Australia’s women’s team will compete in the ICC Women’s World Cup. The visit highlights Cricket Australia’s ongoing focus on expanding bilateral relations with Indian stakeholders across commercial, governance, and broadcast domains.
Commercial Implication
The deal extends BKT’s established investment in cricket, having previously partnered with international leagues including the Indian Premier League (IPL), Big Bash League (BBL), and Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The partnership positions the company to strengthen brand visibility across two of the sport’s largest markets and aligns with Cricket Australia’s continued strategy of leveraging high-profile bilateral series for commercial and audience growth.
The eight-match slate is among the most commercially significant white-ball series of the year, drawing major broadcast audiences in both Australia and India.
For BKT, the deal adds to a diversified global sponsorship portfolio that uses cricket as a vehicle for international market positioning.
For Cricket Australia, the agreement underscores the value of India-Australia cricketing ties as a cornerstone of its commercial calendar.
