BIG Esports announces Educational Bootcamp with HOYTS

BIG Esports, an educational and business development esports agency, has announced a high school boot camp aimed at providing insights on the positive impacts gaming has for parents and children.

Supported by HOYTS, PLE Computers and Corsair, this event will help to uplift students and their parents through the development of knowledge and skills in various facets of gaming and esports.

The one-day event will be held at HOYTS Chadstone on December 15th will include presentations and practical exercises on topics encompassing gaming education by Athletico Esports, hardware familiarisation with PLE Computers and CORSAIR, health and wellbeing with Jandaplex and a parent’s guide to gaming with Flaktest Gaming.

This announcement marks further expansion of non-endemic interest into Australian esports, with Scott Russell, HOYTS ESPORTS general manager, explaining: “HOYTS ESPORTS is dedicated to creating unique social experiences for the esports community in Australia and New Zealand.

“We’re incredibly excited to be working with BIG Esports to support their educational program that aims to bridge the gap between children and parents when it comes to understanding the importance gaming can have on personal development and creating career opportunities for the future.”

There are plans to expand these events in 2019.
