As Brisbane gears up to host the prestigious 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee has issued an open invitation to communities across Australia to contribute to the development of its Games Vision.

This initiative aims to outline the aspirations and values of Australians as the committee seeks to shape an inclusive and impactful framework for the event.

Commenting on the open contribution for 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, president of Brisbane 2032, Andrew Liveris, said: “While Brisbane and Queensland will play host to a majority of the Games, these will be a game for all Australians to be part of and benefit from.”

Mr. Liveris indicated that the Games Vision will inform all facets of the planning process, with numerous guiding documents already in place to foster creativity and innovative ideas.

“The strategies and frameworks that Brisbane 2032 and our Games Delivery Partners have in place have been guided by thousands of conversations across Australia and around the world, and that’s given us a great base to start the process of developing our Games Vision,” Mr. Liveris said.

Launching a public survey, Brisbane 2032 is looking to harness the thoughts and inspirations from citizens nationwide.

The Games Vision is expected to serve as a cornerstone for both the immediate success of the Games and the enduring legacy that will follow.

With the global spotlight set to shine on Australia in just seven years, the committee is keen to establish a collective vision characterised by hope, motivation, and inspiration.

In emphasising the goal for inclusivity, Mr Liveris affirmed that every Australian’s voice matters.

The survey, designed for simplicity and efficiency, aims to gather these diverse opinions.
