Tennis Australia and the Australian Open have announced a partnership with Somersby, making them the official cider of the tournament.
The partnership will see a Somersby area stationed at Grand Slam Oval, where fans can relax and rejuvenate.
Commenting on the partnership, Australian tennis star, Thanasi Kokkinakis, who helped launch the deal, said: “The AO is the highlight of the Aussie summer and one of my favourite tournaments of the year. It’s cool to be part of this announcement and great to have a refreshing brand like Somersby involved.”
Somersby brand manager, Liam Hale, added: “With news cycles filling up with negativity, we tend to forget that good things are happening all around us. The way we see it, the glass is always half full if you want it to be.”
“Our new Somersby Super Crisp is less sweet and more refreshing and perfect for sharing in the company of good friends, family, and odd acquaintances.
“We can’t wait for fans to enjoy a summer of tennis with the very taste of summer itself, Somersby,” he said.
The announcement comes after Tennis Australia announced a data rights partnership with Stats Perform.
