Australia Cup Playoffs Returning To Darwin In 2024

In a win for the Northern Territory, the Australia Cup Playoffs are set to make a return to Darwin for the second consecutive year, with four football teams competing for a coveted top eight spot in the 2024 competition.

The Australia Cup stands out as the largest knockout competition in the nation, encompassing over 750 clubs.

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of this distinguished event in its contemporary format. Scheduled to unfold at the Darwin Football Stadium, Larrakia Park on Tuesday, 23 July, and Wednesday, 24 July, the Australia Cup 2024 Final Rounds Playoffs will showcase the talents of the four clubs that clinched the 9th to 12th positions in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men 2023/24 Regular Season.

Last year’s playoffs attracted an impressive total of more than 3500 spectators at the Darwin Football Stadium.

Simultaneously, thousands of loyal international fans followed the live-stream on YouTube, with 31,619 viewers on Monday and 25,774 on Tuesday. The upcoming matches will feature Brisbane Roar FC (9th) against Perth Glory FC (12th) on Tuesday, 23 July, followed by Newcastle Jets FC (10th) facing off against Western United FC (11th) on Wednesday, 24 July.

The triumphant duos will advance to the Australia Cup 2024 Round of 32, where they will unite with the top eight teams from the Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s 2023/24 Regular Season, alongside 22 Member Federation clubs representing various levels and regions across Australia’s football landscape.

This spectacle, supported by the Northern Territory Government through the Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC), will be live-streamed on 10 Play.

Tickets for the event will be available for general sale starting from 3.30pm local / 4pm AEST today, Tuesday, 28 May, via australiacup.com.au/tickets.
