The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the organising body of the elite men’s tennis tour, have renewed their technology services partnership with Infosys for two more years.

The deal will see Infosys remain the global technology services partner and platinum sponsor of the ATP World Tour, as well as the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals, until 2020.

The partnership, which dates back to 2015, offers analytics and insights to tennis fans worldwide through ATPWorldTour.com.

They have also collaborated on a complete revamp of the ATP’s digital platforms, with Infosys supporting artificial intelligence developments and the ATP’s new PlayerZone app, as well as ATP Stats Leaderboards.

“Our work with the ATP has gone from strength to strength in showcasing the future of tennis using technology such as AI and analytics, and in providing unique and differentiated digital experiences for players, coaches and most importantly the millions of tennis fans across the world,” Infosys chief operating officer Pravin Rao said.

ATP executive chairman and president Chris Kermode added: “Technology is playing an increasingly leading role in enhancing our understanding and analysis of our sport as well as enabling us to forge greater engagement with our worldwide fan base.”

Moving forward the partnership will be working towards a new ATP World Tour app to be developed, with the aim of creating a best-in-class sports app, providing tennis fans with a new tool to follow and engage with ATP World Tour stars and tournaments throughout the season.
