Allianz Secures Naming Rights for LA28 Olympic Beach Volleyball and Paralympic Blind Football Arena

Allianz has unveiled the Allianz Beach Arena, a temporary 11,800-seat outdoor stadium located on the Long Beach waterfront, as the official host venue for the Olympic beach volleyball and Paralympic blind football competitions at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The venue is projected to welcome over 460,000 spectators across both sporting events during the LA28 Games footprint.

The announcement marks the expansion of LA28’s landmark venue naming rights programme, developed in partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which allows commercial partners to secure official venue naming rights during an Olympic Games for the first time in Olympic history.

Highlighting the synergy created by merging the brand’s stadium network with its worldwide Olympic sponsorship rights, global head of the Olympic and Paralympic Program at Allianz, Eike Bürgel, said: “For the first time, two of our strongest sport partnerships – the Allianz Family of Stadiums and our Olympic and Paralympic partnership – come together in one venue that proudly bears the Allianz name.”

“Beach volleyball broke attendance records at Paris 2024, and having the Allianz name on its arena at LA28 is a unique way to bring our brand closer to fans and strengthen our visibility as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner,” Bürgel said.

Venue Portfolio Integration and Brand Activation

The Long Beach facility becomes the eighth property in the global Allianz Family of Stadiums network, joining permanent venues including the Allianz Arena in Munich, Allianz Stadium in Sydney, and Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Allianz Beach Arena represents the first temporary competition venue to join the brand’s global venue portfolio.

Alongside the venue naming rights, Allianz released a customised version of the LA28 emblem featuring a bespoke interpretation of the Games’ dynamic “A” icon, inspired by its stadium venue network.

Allianz has served as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner since 2021 under a global agreement extending through 2032 as the official insurance provider across organising committees, national Olympic committees, and athlete delegations.

The Long Beach location continues a multi-decade Olympic tradition of hosting beach volleyball in high-profile scenic environments, following previous activations at Horse Guards Parade during London 2012, Copacabana Beach at Rio 2016, and the Eiffel Tower Stadium during Paris 2024.
