Aldi and Team GB extend partnership until Brisbane 2032 Olympics

International supermarket chain Aldi has solidified its commitment to Team GB, the governing body for the Olympic team representing Great Britain and Northern Ireland, by extending their partnership through to 2032.

Aldi will continue to provide essential support to Team GB athletes as they prepare for major upcoming events – including the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Los Angeles 2028, the Winter Olympics in 2030 and Brisbane 2032.

Central to the partnership extension is Aldi’s ongoing initiative to assist athletes with monthly vouchers for food shopping, a program that has already benefited over 1,000 athletes over the past four years.

Aldi and Team GB will also uphold their joint effort known as the ‘Get Set to Eat Fresh’ initiative, an educational program offered free of charge to schools aimed at promoting healthy eating habits among students.

Since becoming the official supermarket of Team GB in 2015, Aldi’s partnership has flourished, with the latest extension marking a 17-year collaboration.

Aldi has announced its roster of athlete ambassadors, featuring prominent Team GB athletes such as Max Whitlock in gymnastics, Helen Glover in rowing, Emily Campbell in weightlifting, Delicious Orie in boxing, Kieran Reilly in BMX freestyle and Duncan Scott in swimming.

This enduring partnership between Aldi and the British Olympic Association, spanning nearly a decade, has seen notable expansion over the years. In 2022, Aldi’s commitment to supporting elite athletes was further solidified with the inclusion of the British Paralympic Association under its Team GB partnership.

TikTok has also recently announced a partnership with both Team GB and ParalympicsGB, becoming an official partner of both organisations ahead of the Paris Olympics and Paralympics slated for later this year. This new collaboration builds upon previous partnerships between TikTok and various sporting events, including the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
