Adelaide 36ers and Nippy’s Extend Partnership Until 2029

The Adelaide 36ers have secured a commercial renewal ahead of the NBL27 season, formalising a three-year corporate partnership extension with local beverage manufacturer Nippy’s.

The multi-year agreement guarantees a long-term revenue stream for the National Basketball League club and ensures that one of the most enduring commercial alliances in domestic Australian basketball will continue through the 2028-29 season.

The contract renewal marks thirteen consecutive years of commercial collaboration between the two South Australian entities, extending an initial corporate relationship established ahead of the 2016-17 season.

Commenting on the partnership extension, Adelaide 36ers CEO, Nic Barbato, said: “We’re incredibly proud to continue our partnership with Nippy’s, a brand that is synonymous with South Australia.

“To reach 13 years together is a significant milestone in modern sport and speaks to the trust and genuine connection that exists between our organisations.”

Nippy’s has been an important part of our journey for more than a decade and we’re excited to continue building on that partnership into the future,” Barbato said.

Echoing the commercial value of the partnership, and noting that the franchise offers an ideal promotional vehicle for local business, Nippy’s general manager, Frank Morena, added: “The Adelaide 36ers are one of South Australia’s most recognised sporting organisations, and we’re incredibly proud to extend a partnership that has become such an important part of our business and community involvement.”

“At Nippy’s, we’re passionate about supporting local organisations that share our values of family, hard work, and community connection.

“Over the past decade, we’ve watched the club continue to grow both on and off the court, and we’ve been proud to stand alongside them throughout that journey.

The Adelaide 36ers provide a fantastic platform to connect with South Australians and showcase two iconic local brands working together to achieve great outcomes.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership and supporting the club, its members, and its fans for many years to come,” Morena said.

The financial commitment from the juice and flavoured milk producer comes immediately after the conclusion of the NBL26 campaign, during which both brands celebrated a formal ten-year milestone.

Operating as a third-generation, family-run business with a fifty-year manufacturing footprint in South Australia, Nippy’s will leverage the 36ers’ national sporting platform to drive product visibility and reinforce its local community credentials. The extension keeps the brand positioned within the upper tiers of the 36ers’ corporate inventory, ensuring prominent court-side branding, fan activations at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and cross-promotional integration across digital media channels.

National Growth Powered by South Australian Operations

For the Adelaide 36ers front office, retaining iconic regional partners is critical to balancing high-performance roster investments with community-driven asset development.

The partnership guarantees that the manufacturer will remain embedded within the club’s growing regional grassroots initiatives across South Australia and the Northern Territory, leveraging the commercial crossover to promote healthy, active lifestyles.
